Something I can’t get enough of is exercise clothes in bright colors. It looks so good, and if you look great you will feel great, and if you feel well you will work your butt of. Win-win situation.
So what if you stick out, and people can see you miles away? Be proud of your body and let the colors make you and other people happy and in a good mood.

• When it comes to brands and exercise clothes – I love and recommend Nike. I have had and used my tops & shoes I bought over a year ago, frequently and they are still as good as new. With that said, put a little bit more money on good clothes for your exercise, it will be worth it in the long run.

This picture was taken on my birthday two years ago. It must be one of the best birthdays ever. Just look at the food! This is one of the things I am looking forward to do when I get back to Sweden. Super delicious.

I know you usually like my workout posts, and since it was a while ago – Here you go!

My 5 favorite tips

Drink water!
You’ve probably heard it before, but its true. It keeps your skin beautiful, it keeps your body hydrated and it makes you not think of food. I am not saying don’t eat – I am saying, stay away from the bad foods.

Call me maybe?
Use a buddy of yours to get moving! Its so much easier to go together. You don’t necessarily have to work out together, but going together is the important part. So call your friend/sister/mother next time you’re thinking about going to the gym, and they’ll do the same for you another time.

★ Mornings rules!
The best time of a day for me to workout is in the morning, even though its hard to get out of bed. DO it. The feeling afterwards is worth it. And then after that workout you have the entire day to do whatever you want. #Get it over with!

★ Magazines/Books.
Something I love is to look through Healthy/Exercise books and magazines. There is always a bunch of tips and fun ideas. It doesn’t even have to cost you a penny, clean your room and I bet you have a dozen magazines somewhere hidden, or borrow a friends. Trust me, there is nothing that gets you more motivated than that!

★ Have fun while doing it!
Since we all know that nutrition is a big part of a healthy lifestyle – don’t forget about it. Wish for a cookbook this christmas or create your own by recipes online and from magazines. And then throw cooking nights with friends or family. And remember; make it fun! Healthy doesn’t mean boring.

Mmm, someone else who gets hungry by looking at these pictures? Perfect time for lunch then. After eating a bunch of unhealthy food the last couple of days I am really looking forward a delicious salad today.

I have been so bad with my workouts lately, so sad and I am not happy about it at all. But I have been so stressed out, and packing & no spare time at all. So If you have any good advice or positive comments for me, pleas share them. Otherwise, lets try to do next week better : )

If I can’t find anything better than breakfast, I really don’t know what that says about my life…
But anyway, I do love my mornings. My oatmeal, yummy smoothies and just enjoying the moment and starting the day, the best way possible.

Wednesday morning started like this, I had some girl friends over and I had prepared a big girly lunch. I started out with not that much fun things in the fridge, but with some creativity and ideas I ended up with a whole table full of goodies.
An easy and pretty thing to do, is to serve juice in a pretty wine/champagne/drink glass. As well for yoghurt, Instead of a bowl, use a glass and look how much better it looks. I am mostly proud of my scones, that I baked 30 minuter before my guest came, super easy!

Healthy Breakfast Scones

You need:
3 x 3/4 cup flour • 3 dl mjöl
2 tsp baking powder • 2 tsk bak pulver
1/4 cup butter • 50 gram smör
2 cups cottage cheese • 250 gram keso

You do:
Put oven on 480°F (250°C) and prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Mix flour, baking powder and a little bit salt in a big bowl. Then add the butter, and finally stir in the cottage cheese. (I added some crushed almonds in the dough, but you can put whatever you want, or nothing) Mixture until large dough clumps form. Use your hands to press the dough against the bowl into a ball. Place on a slightly floured surface and cut up small pieces and form your scones. Sprinkle with some oats on the top, and place on cookie sheet and put in oven for 15 minutes. (I formed 8 “medium” scones, and they were perfect)

The Perfect Start Of A Day,

I am back home, in Pittsburgh. I had an amazing weekend, hope you guys had too! I am back on track, and this is how my tuesday will start. I haven’t been to the gym for three days, and I am looking for a sweaty workout! Not many days left before I head to the west coast, so much things needs to be taken care of, but I will do my best to keep this blog alive meanwhile. While I am at the gym, I’ll motivate you with this fun collage. #Get your mind straight, you can do it too!
PS. The change for my blog, I was talking about – is on its way! So excited so show you in the end of the month!

Wake up when November begins!

Today I am going to mix things up. I am usually not that tough or hard, but today I will. I need to be it to myself too. Enough if enough. Sometimes we all need to hear those words we don’t want to hear, sometimes we all need a kick in the butt by someone else, to help us open our own eyes. Today is the first day of november, in about 2 months we are on our way to put on our New Years dress. Even though its winter and “you don’t need to be bikini ready” its the hottest day of the year, don’t you want to feel superlicious in your dress? I know I do.
(Please remember, you can still look great even though you don’t workout.)
All this text is written by myself with a lot of thought to it. I use myself as an example a lot of the times because I know what its like, and I know how it feels to have a goal but never reach it.

1. Lets start out with some goals.
My goals right now are Santa Barbara beach in 2 weeks! Sweden in 26 days and new years within 2 months. So I have some plans that keeps me going. Look in your calendar, or think about what you have want to look good for, within a couple of weeks. Beach 2013, sure you can think about it – but shorter goals are more fun to reach and keeps you more motivated.

2. Get rid of your distractions.
My distractions are chocolate. I know you should treat yourself, I’ve said it myself. But that doesn’t mean candy-bars and unhealthy things should be lying around waiting for you to take it. The one night were you want to treat yourself, you might as well lift your butt and go buy it. So clear out candy, chocolate and sugar things that you know will distract you.

3. Use a couple of helping hands.
I hired a Personal Trainer, not because I couldn’t workout without someones help, but because I needed that someone who would push me all the way, cause I knew I couldn’t do it myself. On the plus side he also taught me a lot of good new exercises and different ways to do my old exercises.
On the minus side it cost me a lot. As an au pair you don’t make that much money, but for me health and a strong body was high on my list, so I did it.

4. Look up to a “real person”.
Its easy to look through a Victoria’s Secret catalogue or google toned body. But that person is a stranger to you. Try to find a person who you admire, that lives in your neighborhood, works out at your gym or goes to your school. Now its easier to see that a “real person” can look as good as you want to.

A friend of mine has come a long way. A while ago he was just a normal guy, living a normal life – just like the rest of us.
His name is Seth, and he made a decision. He wanted to change, and he wanted to help others. He started a webpage, where you can hire him as your Personal Trainer, for help regarding dietary services and more. The best part of it is that he does it for less money than a lot of other companies, and he does it cause thats his passion. He has a strong personality and he is a fighter. He will be tough, but he will help you get where you want to be. So if you are interested, check out his webpage here.

5. Find a blog that will motivate you.
I am doing my best to help with you with that, but If you want to know where I get my motivation from, I’ll show you. For me, it really helps looking through inspiring pictures and read about other peoples training, food habits and tips.
I have two training blogs I follow every single day. Its their words who helps me get to the gym, and stay out of the candy cabinet.

The first one is this one, she always get me in a better mood, kick my butt with her words and motivate me to do the right thing for me. She has a body that people dream about, and she is honest and writes how much effort and time it took her to get where she is today. She is a big role-model to me!

The second one is this one, I mean, come on. Just look at him! He is all in, and not taking a easy way out of any workout. The best thing about his blog is that I know him, it makes it all so much reliable and fun. He writes fun tips, and honest words that people don’t really think about, or realize. He posts a lot of pictures of him at the gym, which always makes me want to go to the gym! Crazy addicted. So, check him out.

6. Use my collages as motivation.
I don’t mind, all of my pictures are borrowed from and the to pictures of Seth is from his webpage. But, save these pictures and use them as help when you need it!
It’s funny how much they actually help! But like the last quote above, “A One Hour Workout is 4% Of Your Day, No Excuses!”
So enough with blaming it on other people, schedules, bad moods, good movie on tonight, no clean shirts and such. It’s up to you if you want to make a change. It’s up to YOU.

Its wednesday & Halloween, and the weather outside gives snow! I’m getting cozy with this breakfast inside, giving my body what it needs before a workout.
I am home, kids are back in school and I am back on track! Share a thought if you have ideas what I should post and write about.
